Welcome
Dear Colleague:
Colorado Assessment Tests (CATs) is committed to producing high quality
computer-based tools for psychological and neuropsychological research
and evaluation at a reasonable price.
We are founded on the belief that computer-based testing and evaluation
tools are becoming increasingly important in psychological and
neuropsychological research and evaluation. It is our belief that a
continued growth in the understanding of human cognition and the neural
structures that underlies that cognition requires sophisticated testing
and evaluation procedures beyond the scope of traditional "paper and
pencil" based and manual testing techniques. We couple these beliefs to
an active research program dedicated to deepening an understanding of
human cognition and behavior, producing extensive normative data for
developed tests, and extending the number and sophistication of the
tests offered by Colorado Assessment Tests.
Included in this web site is a brief description of the tests we
currently offer, downloadable demonstration versions of the tests,
manuals, and the most up-to-date normative data we have for the tests.
Most of tests are a computerized version of tests currently available as
manually administered tests. They do however, have the advantage over
manual versions of automatic data collection and analysis, as well as
recording some dependent measures (such as reaction time) which are
difficult to capture manually. In the long run we are developing tests
which will take advantage of capabilities only available in a
computer-based testing environment.
